The CDC (= Centre de documentation collégiale = cdc.qc.ca = not cdc.gov) has E-books on teaching and learning – free. You may also request titles and add them to the collection of e-books. You need a personal code to access CDC’s digital resources. This code allows you to access e-books (accessible on a computer or downloadable on a portable digital reader (iPad or other), and to 3 databases CBCA Education (Canadian), ERIC (U.S.), and ProQuest Education journals (Canadian and U.S.), for a total of over 2,000 periodical titles including nearly 1,000 journal titles available in full text!
- TO GET ACCESS to CDC Resources, College staff or students should contact the CDC (= Centre de documentation collégiale) directly to obtain a personal code: info@cdc.qc.ca
- Access to e-books (ebrary and eBook Collection (EBSCOhost)) from the CDC’s catalogue.
- Search the CDC’s catalogue (EDUQ.info). If the book is listed as digital format: [ressource électronique] in the title, the link will take to you to NetLibrary or ebrary.
- There is also a digital book icon in the "suggestions" section at the top of the main search page (EDUQ.info). Scroll through the titles and/or change the sort option (at the top of the page of search results).
- Access to "scientific articles" (ProQuest databases)
- Access the search interface: http://search.proquest.com
- Note: In each of the databases (ProQuest, ebrary or eBook Collection (EBSCOhost)), you must create a personal account (My Research / My Ebsco) to save the search history (query), keep the link to documents, keep notes on the documents, put an email alert or RSS feed on a query that you want to be informed about, etc...). It is not necessary to create an account to send documents by email, to save, or to print.
